Born Pretty Neon Square Studs Review.

During the time I've been blogging here, I've reviewed a lot of things from Born Pretty Store, many times those things being studs. 

At this point there is only so much to be said, but they keep coming out with new studs that I want to share with you! 

Most recently, I've received a wheel of their fluorescent candy colored square studs. The wheel contains twelve different colors, which basically means endless manicure options! I already have lots of ideas of how to put them to good use, but for today's post I tested out two of the colors.

My first time using the studs I decided to do a kind of creepy, neon drip manicure. I thought it would be fun for Halloween. The polishes I used were China Glaze In The Limelight and Wet n Wild Black Creme. Then I finished off my accent nail with the neon green studs. I stuck them on using my typical method, a little bit of topcoat and a dotting tool.

Since I wanted to give using the studs another shot, the manicure you're actually going to find my sporting for Halloween is the one below.

For this manicure I used the same black polish and just added orange studs to the base of each of my nails. I've really been enjoying the simplicity of this one!

In the future I can't wait to combine lots of different colors and play around with my options. Studs are already so much fun to add to any manicure, and even more so when they're in awesome colors.

Melting Ice Cream Nails.

Ice cream is awesome, and it makes for awesome nail art too. 

As I mentioned it likely would be, today's manicure is inspired by one of my current obsessions! Not ice cream but the book I talked about in yesterday's post.

I wasn't confident that I could convey the actual sea of tranquility through nail art, so instead I went with ice cream. It's on the book's cover, it plays its role in the plot, and of course, it's awesome.

The polishes I used for this manicure were Orly Pixy Stix and Spark, OPI Done Out in Deco, Revlon Blue Lagoon, American Apparel Office, and Julep January.

Crayon Drip Nails.

I saw this dripping paint tutorial on youtube a few weeks ago and it immediately reminded me of the melted crayon art trend. So I decided to put the two together for my manicure. 

I used a bunch of polishes for this design: CND Flashpoint, CND Bicycle Yellow, CND Electric Orange, Sally Hansen Lickety Split Lime, OPI Ogre the Top Blue, China Glaze Spontaneous, Milani White on the Spot, and Wet n Wild Black Creme.

Neon Drip Nails.

I've done a few drip manicures in the past, but today's manicure has a few difference.

I decided to combine a few of my favorite neons with a very neutral grey-toned polish. The colors I used are OPI Skull & Glossbones, China Glaze In the Lime Light, China Glaze Purple Panic, and American Apparel Neon Yellow. 

Drips on Dots Nails.

This manicure combines two pretty simple designs for a cute look. I started off with a mint green base color (American Apparel Office) and added white dots in diagonal lines, using Wet n Wild White French Creme. Then I painted on the drip design with OPI Ogre the Top Blue. 

For a long time I wasn't sure if I cared for drip manicures, but there are so many options, they are great to play around with. 

Tangerine Dream Drip Nails.

For a while I wasn't sure if I liked drip manicures, but after a little time I decided that they can be really cute and fun.

I only used two polishes for this manicure and they were both $0.99. The base color is Wet n Wild Tickled Pink and the drips were done with Wet n Wild Blazed. I think it made for a nice polish combination under $2.00.

The drip manicure was super easy and garnered positive reactions when I wore it out, so maybe we'll be seeing it again in the future. Perhaps a double drip manicure next time?
