Nail Tool Organization.

I reorganized the drawer I keep all of my nail tools and care items today, so I thought I would give a quick over view of the drawer.

In the front I have top coats, base coats, polish thinner, cuticle remover, and nail treatments. To the side of the front I have all my stamping plates along with my stamper and scraper. Behind that I have a small plastic container with brushes and dotting tools, along with other thin tools. My rhinestone wheel is also propped up in there. 

The drawer also holds Orly Nail Rescue, leftover Kiss nail stickers, toothpicks, a body butter, various nail buffers, and two paint palettes. 

Beneath the paint palettes are all of my acrylic paints, nail polish remover pads, a hand scrub, and various makeup sponges for gradients.

Neon Zig Zag Nails.

I'm really happy with how this manicure turned out, and if you have striping tape it's very simple to do! 

I painted all my nails white and then added small dots of different neon colors randomly all over my nails until I couldn't see any of the white. Then I added a coat of glitter and let me nails dry completely. 

Once my nails were dry completely I used striping tape to create a zig zag pattern, and then painted over the tape with black. I pulled the tape off, and that was it!

I used a bunch of neon polishes for this design: China Glaze Pink Voltage, China Glaze In The Lime Light, American Apparel Neon Yellow, Claire's Marine Blue, Color Club You've Got Soul-ar, and Color Club Wink, Wink Twinkle. The glitter polish is Color Club Starry Temptress and the black polish is Wet n Wild Black Creme.

Fiery Flakie Gradient Nails.

This isn't the greatest photo because this manicure proved very difficult to photograph, but you can certainly get an idea. 

I used OPI Royal Rajah Ruby as the base (you can see the pretty shimmer in the bottle,) and the flakes are  Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure.

Dotted Butterfly Nails.

I was inspired for today's manicure after seeing this design. I switched things up a little, just taking inspiration from the dots around the simple stamped design.

I used BM-05 for the butterfly design, and stamped with Sally Hansen Presto Pink. The base color is OPI Steady As She Rose, and the dots are done with Orly Spark.

Studded Accent Nails.

One of the requests I received on tumblr recently was for studded nails. I didn't have any nail studs to use, so I decided to make do and play around with rhinestones. 

I painted my nails with OPI Lucertainly Look Marvelous, and then on my accent nails I added a row of rhinestones followed by another coat of Lucertainly Look Marvelous.

I had trouble capturing how pretty this polish is, the shimmer is too perfect.

Holographic Laser Nails.

I decided on doing another manicure with striping tape and kept it fairly simple. The striping tape gave me a few issues but I think it worked out okay. The base color is Milani Hi-Tech and the black is Wet n Wild Black Creme.

Teal Feather Gradient Nails.

I knew I wanted to play around with a gradient today so for this manicure I started by choosing three colors for my gradient. (OPI Mermaid Tears, OPI Ski Teal We Drop, and Claire's Marine Blue.) Once the gradient was finished  wanted to stamp overtop, so I used BM-212 for the feather design and stamped with Sally Hansen Silver Sweep.

A few other things I wanted to talk about, I've decided to start watermarking my photos. I've seen them popping up a few places uncredited, so it seemed like time to start. I'll probably be messing around with what kind of watermark looks the best.
