Dusty Negative Space Nails.

The negative space trend in nail art is one it took me a little while to warm up to. As someone who has nails that haven't been without nail polish for more than a few hours in years , I can't say they're perfectly white.

But after seeing so many cute negative space designs, I realized there were plenty of options for me even if the tips of my nails are a little stained.

For my first attempt I decided to do a negative space version of this manicure, I used OPI Steady as She Rose to create a half moon and french tip on each of my nails and left the center unpolished.

I ended up being very happy to have tried out this trend and definitely think you'll be seeing more negative space designs from me in the future!

Black French Tip Rose Nails.

I usually do a lot of colorful manicures, which I think are fun with my mostly black wardrobe, but sometimes a darker design is fun too. For today's manicure I chose to do black roses with a dark grey base.

The base color is CND Asphalt and I added CND Gold Shimmer for a little sparkle after doing the roses with acrylic paints.

Glitter Tip Nails.

Today's manicure was my first attempt at covering an entire nail or most of a nail with loose glitter. I had never tried it before because I suspected it would be trying on my patience. And although it was worth it to end up with super cute and sparkly nails, my suspicions were definitely accurate.

To create this manicure I used Nails Inc. St. Martins Lane and my favorite loose glitter, which is from BornPrettyStore.

Past Halloween Nails.

I have a few Halloween manicures in mind for this year, but before I get to those I thought I'd share my favorites that I wore last Halloween!

These eye nails were completely inspired by this manicure and tutorial. I really loved them, I think they're the perfect mix of creepy and fun.

Scream is my favorite scary movie, so of course a Ghostface accent nail is perfect, and the rest of the nails are nice and creepy.

This manicure just screams Halloween to me with all the orange and black and spiders. Normally I wouldn't want spiders anywhere near me, but somehow on the nails they manage to be pretty cool!

Born Pretty Fimo Slice Wheel Review.

When Born Pretty asked me about items I'd be interested in reviewing, I went on my tumblr and asked if anyone had certain types of nail art supplies they'd like to see me incorporate into a manicure. Multiple people suggested fimo slices, so I decided to review this wheel with twelve different fimo slices (and 120 pieces.)

This wheel is perfect for someone who wants to experiment with fimo slices and hasn't used them before (like me.) The fact that they're pre-sliced makes everything extra simple, and you get a good variety of slices to try out. One of my favorites is a tiny teddy bear. I don't know how I would use it in a manicure just yet, but it's awfully cute. The other slices include an apple, a heart, a smiley face, multi-colored butterflies, and more.

For my very first manicure using fimo slices I chose to use the pink flowers.

The manicure was inspired by Katy Perry's nails in the Wide Awake music video. I used China Glaze Sunset Sail as my base color, and then freehanded fun french tips onto my nails. The purple is OPI Done Out in Deco, and the other colors I mixed to get the right shades.

I didn't have any problems with using the fimo slices, I just placed a little topcoat where I wanted them and then put them on my nail and once they were all placed I added a layer of topcoat over the entire nail.

Besides keeping things nice and simple for a first time fimo user, this wheel is just $1.79. And once again here is my 10% off coupon code for you to use!

Also, don't forget to enter my giveaway if you haven't yet! It ends on Monday.

French and Half Moon Nails.

I really like this combination of both a half moon and a french manicure. Especially in these bright colors, I used American Apparel Neon Yellow and Sally Hansen Brisk Blue. At first I was thinking I'd but a design on the center part of the nail, but after looking at things midway through, I realized I liked the simplicity too much to mess with things.

French Tip Glitter Gradient Nails.

I asked for nail art requests on tumblr and a few people responded with suggestions of a french manicure. I don't typically like french manicures, so I decided to add a glitter gradient and make it seem a little different.

I used OPI Isn't It Romantic?, OPI Ink, Love & Beauty glitter, LA Colors Star Light, and Sally Hansen Byte.

Funky Eighties Nails.

Today's nails were really fun and bright, I was very happy with how they turned out. And they were pretty easy and not too time consuming since I didn't have to tape anything to make my lines.

The colors I used were China Glaze In The Lime Light and Wet n Wild Black Creme. I also used a Sally Hansen black nail art pen. For the pink lines I used neon pink acrylic paint and then added two neon polishes on top (CG Shocking Pink and CG Pink Voltage.)

And now for more pictures...
