I realized today that I am horribly behind on updating my blog readers on my work over at Beauty Blitz. My favorite article over the last few months was probably the one detailing how to recreate this rose design.
I also shared tutorials for a favorite gory manicure, a tweed technique, watercolor fingertips, and leopard nails.
I think that covers all of my updates for now, however you can expect my annual favorite manicures post in the next few days!

Black Swan Nails.
There are a handful of manicures I did before I started this blog that I really liked the concept for and have wanted to share with my blog readers. One of those was a design I did inspired by the movie Black Swan, and even though it isn't the most summer-y design, I decided to recreate my old manicure today.
For this design I painted my nails black (CND Oilslick) and stamped white feathers on all of my nails using Bundle Monster BM15 and Konad Special White polish. Then I splattered a mixture of Mary Kay Radiant Red and an unnamed red shimmer polish (which I'm holding in the photos) to look like blood.
I've really enjoyed doing manicures inspired by books and movies, and I think this is another fun one. It would be great for Halloween.
Black and white, feathers, and blood pretty much sum up the film, so I think these nails do a good job of capturing the movie.

Past Halloween Nails.
I have a few Halloween manicures in mind for this year, but before I get to those I thought I'd share my favorites that I wore last Halloween!
These eye nails were completely inspired by this manicure and tutorial. I really loved them, I think they're the perfect mix of creepy and fun.
Scream is my favorite scary movie, so of course a Ghostface accent nail is perfect, and the rest of the nails are nice and creepy.
This manicure just screams Halloween to me with all the orange and black and spiders. Normally I wouldn't want spiders anywhere near me, but somehow on the nails they manage to be pretty cool!
