Camouflage Nails.

I steer clear of most things that are camouflage, but I'm very happy to find that it makes for really cute nail art! When I started I wasn't sure if I'd like how the design turned out, but I ended up being very pleased with it. I could definitely see myself trying a fun, summer-y version in the future.

For this manicure I used OPI Skull & Glossbones, We'll Always Have Paris, Don't Mess with OPI!, Brake for Manicures, and Mary Kay Tempting Teal.

Born Pretty Diamond Nail Glitter Review.

Back in July I reviewed a loose hexagon shaped glitter from Born Pretty Store and was obsessed with how it looked, so of course I wanted to try other loose glitters. This time I'm reviewing a pink diamond shaped glitter (the color is called #5.)

When you're not near a light all of the little diamonds just look like a nice light rose/pink color, but under a light or in the sun they really sparkle and reflect different colors.

To test the glitter out I did a glitter border manicure. The polish I used for the base of this manicure is Sonia Kashuk Lacquered Lilac.

The glitters were surprisingly easy to place, I imagine it would be quite time consuming to attempt and cover your entire nail, but to do the border it was quite a quick process. I used a dotting tool and a bit of top coat to pick up each piece of glitter and then pressed it down, just like I do with other glitters or any of the studs I've tried.

I really like this glitter, I can see it becoming another of my favorite nail art decoration items, and I'll have a lot of fun thinking of different ways to incorporate it into manicures.

The diamond glitters are $2.38 and you can still use my 10% off code, BRJ61 for anything off of BPS!

Born Pretty BK Candy Color Polish Review.

I received a few products to review from BornPrettyStore.com just after Christmas, and the first one I'm going to be reviewing is a fluorescent nail polish from the brand BK.

I've reviewed a bunch of different nail art related products from BPS before, but this was my first time trying out one of the polishes they sell.

This is a very pretty color, I applied four thin coats for it to be opaque.

When I received this polish in the mail I had already forgotten that it was supposed to glow in the dark, so when I randomly chose to wear it for New Year's Eve, it was a fun surprise! Despite my best efforts I couldn't get a good photo of the polish in action, glowing in the dark. But I was pleasantly surprised with how bright and cool it looks.

And the polish still looks great in the light. I think it'll be perfect for the summer.

The color I have is 06, and each of the BK polishes sells for $2.99. You can get 10% off anything from BPS using the coupon code BRJ61.

2012 Favorites.

Posting everyday in December was going pretty well right up until my internet stopped working Christmas night! So finally the internet is back and I can return to regular posting.

I figured for my first post of 2013 I would do a little recap of my favorite manicures I did in 2012. So here goes, in no particular order, my favorite manicures of the year...
