Purple Spider Nails.

I loved this manicure when I saw it last year and I knew I'd have to do it for myself when Halloween finally came around again!

The base color is Revlon Facets of Fuchsia, a polish I've been waiting to use for about as long as I've been waiting to try this design! The spiders are from the BM-13 plate and I stamped with Sally Hansen Silver Sweet. I finished things off with purple rhinestones from a wheel from Amazon.

The glitter and rhinestone combination make the spiders almost feminine! I love how it turned out.

Yellow Umbrella Nails.

I decided to do a very weather appropriate manicure for today!

The base color for these nails is Revlon Blue Lagoon with Wet n Wild Blue Wants to be a Millionaire layered on top. The umbrellas are done in acrylic paint.

I wasn't sure what color to go with for the umbrellas, but I think yellow ended up being the perfect choice. It makes the manicure extra bright and fun.

Tombstone Nails.

Tombstones are perfect for a little Halloween nail art!

I used CND Oilslick as my base color and did everything else with acrylic paint.

I applied a thick topcoat before things were dry to make the letters bleed a little, I thought it added nicely to the spookiness.

Past Halloween Nails.

I have a few Halloween manicures in mind for this year, but before I get to those I thought I'd share my favorites that I wore last Halloween!

These eye nails were completely inspired by this manicure and tutorial. I really loved them, I think they're the perfect mix of creepy and fun.

Scream is my favorite scary movie, so of course a Ghostface accent nail is perfect, and the rest of the nails are nice and creepy.

This manicure just screams Halloween to me with all the orange and black and spiders. Normally I wouldn't want spiders anywhere near me, but somehow on the nails they manage to be pretty cool!

Sugar Skull Nails.

I've seen so many cute sugar skull nail designs that I finally had to try it for myself.

I figured I couldn't go wrong with doing mine with neon polishes, so I used China Glaze Pink Voltage and In the Limelight, Claires Marine Blue, Color Club Wink Wink Twinkle and You Got Soul-ar. The white is Milani White on the Spot and the black is CND Oilslick.

Purple Paisley Gradient Nails.

I decided I wanted to stamp something today, but wasn't sure what so I started by just doing a gradient.

I really love the color combination I ended up choosing, OPI Lucky Lucky Lavender, Ate Berries in the Canaries, and We'll Always Have Paris.

Once the gradient was completed I decided to use an image from Konad M60 and stamped with the Konad Special White polish. I finished off the manicure with a coat of CND Violet Shimmer, which adds a nice and very subtle shimmer.

Beauty Blogger VoxBox.

I've posted about Influenster a few times before, but once again it's a great way to try out new products, for free if you liked to sign up!

This month I was very excited to receive the Beauty Blogger VoxBox. The box didn't have any nail products for me to review to you, but there were a bunch of products I was interested in testing out.

The thing I was the most excited about and have already put to use are the Goody Spin Pins. I'd of course heard of them before, and even seen videos of people using them to create perfect buns, but I was a bit skeptical. However, after a little playing around with them, I can say that they really are super easy to use and are great for making a flawless bun.

The other product I really looked forward to using is the Not Your Mother's Smooth Moves Frizz Control Hair Cream. I've recently been getting much more interested in hair, and am always looking for new hair products, especially ones that can tame frizz. If you like coconut scents this smells great (it very nicely compliments my favorite shampoo and conditioner) and seems to do a good job at handling any frizziness in my hair.

The two things in the box that I was slightly familiar with were the NYC palette and the Slatkin & Co Candle. I have another of the NYC palettes with different colors, and it's perfect for traveling. The highlighter isn't my favorite, but I've always been very impressed with the primer! As for the candle, Slatkin & Co are always my favorites, but Pumpkin Cupcake wasn't a scent I've ever tried. I was pleasantly surprised by it, it's the perfect thing for fall. I can't wait to burn it when I'm home for Thanksgiving.

I haven't had an opportunity to make use of the false lashes yet or the EBoost, but when I do I'll probably be tweeting about it!

Blue Sideways Gradient Nails.

The sideways gradient is one of my favorite designs I've done, so I decided to go for it again with a different color scheme.

The colors I chose this time were LA Colors Static Electricity, China Glaze Spontaneous, and Sinful Colors Hottie. The rhinestones I finished things off with are from Amazon.

Zig Zag Ikat Nails.

Today's design was loosely inspired by one of my favorite shirts. Fashion is always a great way to find nail inspiration.

The polishes I used were CND Flashpoint and CND Electric Orange, Orly Spark, and China Glaze For Audrey. The black polish is CND Oilslick.

Bright Bow Nails.

I love bows, and they're perfect for a little girly nail art.

For this design I used Orly Spark as the base color and did the bows in acrylic paint.

Barbie Shoe Nails.

I wanted to use the shoe image from the BM-213 plate, and since it reminded me of tiny Barbie shoes I decided to run with that idea and let it inspire my color choices.

The pink I used is China Glaze Shocking Pink (over two coats of Milani White on the Spot) and I stamped with Konad Special White polish.

I love how cute this design and color combo is, plus it's definitely fitting for a fashion student!

Studded Seam Nails.

Adding a few studs overtop of any manicure instantly makes a manicure a million times more fun!

For this design I used Essie It's Genius as my base color and the studs from BPS which I reviewed here.

Grunge Rainbow Nails.

I combined a few different techniques to get today's manicure, I wasn't sure exactly how things would turn out as I was going, but I ended up pretty happy with the results.

I started out doing diagonal stripes using the watercolor technique and then once I was done I used the saran wrap technique to grunge it up a little.

The polishes I used were Milani White on the Spot, Julep January, CND Electric Orange, CND Bicycle Yellow, OPI Don't Mess With OPI, OPI Ogre the Top Blue, American Apparel Mount Royal, and China Glaze Spontaneous.

Panda Nails.

When I was transitioning from a nail polish obsession to a nail art obsession, one of the first designs I tried were pandas. I loved looking down to see cute pandas adorning my nails, and that was enough to get me hooked to nail art.

It's been a long time since I first tried out that design, and I realized I had yet to revisit it, so that is what I had to do for today's manicure!

I did a few things differently this time, and I think they ended up extra cute.

The base color is 2 coats of Essence Movie Star followed by two coats of Wet n Wild Gray's Anatomy. The pandas are done with Milani White on the Spot and CND Asphalt.

Brush Stroke Gradient Nails.

Today's manicure came about as I played around with the combination of a gradient and a little acetone. I went for a more streaky look and this is what I came up with.

The polishes I used are OPI Mermaid Tears, Who the Shrek Are You?, and Ski Teal We Drop. I think it's a great fall color combination!

Cosmic Galaxy Nails.

I usually go for lots of glitter when I do galaxy nails, but this time I decided to try something a little different.

I used too many polishes to attempt to list this time!

I wouldn't rule out doing this kind of galaxy nail again, although I might prefer the super glittery version, only because it's so fun to admire in the sunlight.

Paw Print Nails.

I decided to try out doing dog paw prints on my nails the other day, and I love how they came out! They're super cute and work very nicely for short nails.

The base color I used is Zoya Jules and the paw prints are in OPI You Don't Know Jacques.

Warhol Flower Nails.

I saw a manicure inspired by one of Andy Warhol's Flowers paintings over a year ago now, and I finally got around to creating my own version!

I really love how it turned out. I used Wet n Wild Black Creme for the base color, and the green I created by mixing OPI Who the Shrek Are You? and Sinful Colors Envy. I mixed CND Bicycle Yellow and American Apparel Neon Yellow for the yellow flower. The other flowers are OPI Ate Berries in the Canaries, OPI A Good Mandarin if Hard to Find, and Sally Hansen Lively Lilac.

And here is the painting for comparison!

Holographic Burst Nails.

This manicure was inspired by one I came across on facebook and tracked back to this blog post. I loved the idea of having a little bit of awesome holographic shimmer peaking out from under a creme polish.

For my design I used Milani Hi-Tech and Sally Hansen Lickety Split Lime.

Hi-Def Flakie Nails.

Today's manicure is all about very simple layering, but produces very fun results.

This is my favorite manicure for anytime I want my nails to look cool but don't have time to do any actual nail art. By layering a few polishes and adding a flakie polish on top, you can get a very eye catching look very quickly.

I've tried a few different combinations, but my favorite is OPI Inc with Sally Hansen HD Laser and Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure. Hidden Treasure and the HD polishes go perfectly together!

Purple Layered Dot Nails.

I wanted to do a manicure using Chanel Paradoxal because it's one of my favorite polishes, but I've hardly gotten any wear out of it! I ended up deciding on a layered dot design with Paradoxal as the base color.

The polishes I used to make the dots are China Glaze Below Deck and OPI Lucky Lucky Lavender.

Neutral Nails.

I mostly wear black clothing, so I wear a lot of bright polishes. But from time to time neutral nails are fun too, and you can never go wrong with black and grey combinations.

For this design I used CND Oil Slick, CND Asphalt, and Milani White on the Spot.

Tie Dye Paisley Nails.

I really love today's manicure! I used the same technique I used for this design, but this time with pastels. And I like the results even better than I did last time. The pastels create a really soft and pretty tie dye effect.

I painted all of my nails with Milani White on the Spot as a base to create the tie dye over. Then the pastel polishes I used were Orly Pixy Stix, Orly Spark, American Apparel Office, OPI Lucky Lucky Lavender, and Revlon Blue Lagoon.

The perfect finishing touch to complement my tie dyed nails was stamping with the Born Pretty Store M64 plate (reviewed here.) I stamped with Konad Special black polish.

I'll have to come up with more designs I can use the watercolor technique for because I'm really loving it at the moment!

Sweet Candy Nails.

Today's manicure has a theme I love, candy. The base color is one I don't think I've used for nail art before, Julep Maya. The design is done in acrylic paint and I added a bit of glitter with Color Club Starry Temptress.

Four Corners Nails.

I realized I hadn't used striping tape in a while and decided to do something simple with it.

The base color for the manicure is OPI A Good Mandarin is Hard to Find and the other color is OPI Ate Berries in the Canaries.
